Overview
Impact crushers (kubit) are used as primary and secondary crushers in mineral processing and crushing lines. They consist of a rotor with 2 to 6 rows of hammer bars that spins at high speed and throws the incoming material against the inner walls.
Several ribbed breaker plates made of wear-resistant alloys are fitted on the inner walls. After a few impacts the rock falls back into the crushing chamber, and the cycle continues until the required size is reached. Besides the impact of the hammers and anvils, collisions between pieces of rock also help the crushing.
Kubits are built in two types, standard (GL) and jack-adjusted (BNS), with capacities of up to 240 t/h. The opening is set with adjusting bolts and the feed opening can be adjusted from 50 to 200 mm. The machine suits hard, brittle and medium-hard rock but is not recommended for soft or wet rock.
