Overview
The jaw crusher is one of the most important types of crusher and is usually used as the primary crusher in quarries and mines. Its size is defined by the rectangular dimensions of its top opening, and it crushes rock by compression and impact.
Power from the electric motor is transferred by belt to the flywheel, and the moving jaw swings towards the fixed jaw to crush the rock. The moving jaw then moves away from the fixed jaw through the rotation of the eccentric shaft and the pull of the tension rod, and the crushed material is discharged.
Barzan jaw crushers have a high capacity, and thanks to their long toggle the discharge opening can be set much smaller than on other jaw crushers.
